The RoundsFM Condition Inspection Point Monitoring Program is a mobile application used to collect inspection point readings at various inspection points on equipment assets such as motors, pumps, fans, compressors and other equipment, which is central to ensuring equipment reliability and minimizing downtime.

Monitored assets are less likely to cause unplanned downtime or emergencies. Collecting and monitoring data on a routine basis, such as during daily, weekly or monthly rounds, provides the ability to perform time-based analysis and anticipate equipment failure.

Handheld Data Collection

RoundsFM replaces cumbersome paper log sheets typically used during routine rounds, with a handheld device. Inspectors and technicians use the handheld during their routine inspection rounds to scan equipment barcodes and to collect inspection point data needed to assess the current condition of equipment assets.

Technicians equipped with the handheld WORKABOUT PRO Mobile device are able to log live equipment condition data on a regular basis, and upload the data collected to the RoundsFM database where nonconformities or out-of-range changes are immediately alerted.

RoundsKeeper Screen Image As an equipment barcode is scanned (or keyed in), the technician is prompted to enter an inspection point reading for each inspection point assigned to the scanned equipment asset. When all inspection points for the equipment asset have been recorded, the technician is prompted to scan another equipment barcode.

Technicians are also able to take an equipment asset "offline" and skip all inspection point readings for that equipment asset, or bring an equipment asset "online" and record its inspection point settings.

Equipment Monitoring

The RoundsFM™ Condition Data Point Monitoring program is a Microsoft Access database that works in conjunction with the WORKABOUT PRO Windows Mobile handheld device.

After the technician has finished capturing inspection point data in the field, the handheld device is placed in its cradle and the data collected is sent to the RoundsFM database and displayed in the RoundsFM desktop application. Each round is stored by its Start/End Date/Time, and the technician who performed the round.

Immediately, inspection point reading values are compared to the criteria and threshold values stored in RoundsFM to identify and display equipment assets and their associated inspection points that fail to meet their defined criteria and/or threshold value.

Store equipment information in the RoundsFM database.
Define condition inspection point data and criteria values and thresholds.
Transfer inspection point readings from the handheld device to the RoundsFM database.
Immediately be alerted to out-of-range inspection point readings.
Run inspection history reports and export data to Excel for further analysis.

Additionally, notes and photos may be assigned to each round as needed.
