Split and Save Profile Options

Common spilt and save tasks that are performed on documents, are defined and stored in the DocuFi Batch profile settings of the Split and Save Options, allowing for fast and easy access at a later time.

File Splitting Options

DocuFi Batch splits a single file or document into multiple files based on the user selected profile options of the Splitting Files settings.

• Split every "n" page
• Insert slip sheets (blank pages) into PDF files
• Split into files at every barcode
• Only split into files if the barcode data contains specific values
• Remove barcode separator pages
• Define the barcode type to look for

Barcode Recognition

Many documents contain vital information in the form of 1-D (Linear) or 2-D barcodes. They are often skewed at various angles and located anywhere within the document. With DocuFi Batch these markers can be used to identify new breaks in documents as well as be used to name the file or destination folder.

DocuFi Batch supports up to 10 barcodes per page with the flexibility to use them for file naming, splitting and folder creation purposes.

• Split a single document into many documents at every barcode.
• Split a single document into many documents when a specific barcode value is found.
• Create folders to classify the documents (patient names, vendor names, etc.).
• Rename the files to the barcode strings to add meaning to the file names.

File Save Options

Flexible Document File Naming

DocuFi Batch automates the naming and destination path of documents. Barcodes, special keywords or any text string can be detected and extracted from documents and be used to identify a file name or destination folder.

Name & Route Files

Set the naming convention and create new subfolders for the new file(s) using: 

• Barcodes
• Date/Time Stamps
• Page Number
• Keywords/Text in any pattern
• Or any combination of the above

Output File Formats

DocuFi Batch offers the ability to convert files between various formats including TIF to PDF, PDF to TIF and office formats to TIF or PDF. Users requiring the more advanced digital rights capabilities can choose the Content Sealed Format (CSF) as an output format. 

• TIF
• PDF
• CSF

Existing Files

Select to overwrite an existing file, append to it, or create new files with sequential numbers if a filename already exists in the output folder.
